Lightbulbs
ceramic, spray paint. 2016
These ceramic lightbulbs were created as an exercise in using small scale objects to fill a larger space. While working on other intricate projects that yielded a smaller finished piece, this work was able to fill a small room.
By using a traditional material such as clay coupled with contemporary technique found in spray paint, a quick replication of a simple object such as a lightbulb is achieved. This highly repetitive labor is showcased via the sheer amount of handmade bulbs hung precisely to fit the selected wall space.
